Progress Of Work

Updated September 11, 2025:
At the time of this updates writing, all data collection except for yield has happened. Average aboveground biomass for our three treatment groups (30 inch rows, 22 inch rows, and 7.5 inch rows) has been collected as has avergae # pods per plant. The results are attached as graphs. As expected, the 30 inch rows had the largest aboveground biomass, as well as largest number of pods per plant. This was followed by the 22 inch row and 7.5 inch row treatment in descending order. Yield data has not yet been collected but will be compared to these results when collected.

Aerial drone imagery and NDVI data is also currently being processed and we expect canopy readings and NDVI results to be complete by the next update period.

At this point the SMSU research plots have received 129 visitors, 55 of which have been students across three different classes. Preliminary results have been communicated to all plot visitors.

We expect to have yield data, NDVI data, and canopy reading finished by the next progress report.

And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
