Brief Project Summary:

The goal of this project is to develop soybean lines with enhanced resistance to soybean rust as well as a wide range of bacterial and fungal pathogens. The approach will be to develop plants producing a potent antimicrobial peptide PTH under conditions providing functional resistance to the fungal pathogens.
