The goal of this soybean breeding project is to collaborate with other research efforts at Louisiana State University that are working on screening for Soybean Diseases, developing soybean lines and varieties with tolerance to drought, water logging and salt stresses. The goal of the project is to develop high-yields and disease resistant soybean lines that are adapted to the environmental conditions of Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. Soybean Diseases being targeted are Cercospora leaf blight, frogeye leaf sport, aerial blight and Soybean rust
