Brief Project Summary:

The Center for Excellence is a long term regional cropping systems project that is well respected in Southeast and South Central Michigan. This project is led by NRCS staff and supported by a wide range of agricultural entities. Much of the work within this project applies either directly to soybeans or in a cropping system which includes soybeans.

This continuing project has several goal and objectives:

Water Goal: Ensure optimal moisture conditions by maximizing water availability through soil water holding capacity with supplemental irrigation and artificial drainage.

Nutrient Goal: Sustainably manage crop nutrient availability.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years.
