Brief Project Summary:

Mr. Jie Wang, has developed a real-time PCR (DNA) assay which allows us to quantify the amount of SDS fungus in soil, plant and nematode samples. We plan to use this assay to investigate the interaction of SDS and SCN and to rapidly identify fields with SDS. The assay is also very useful as a diagnostic tool to confirm the diagnosis of SDS symptomatic plants. We will offer this service to industry and growers to assist in identifying and promoting knowledge with regards to SDS biology and management.
