Brief Project Summary:

The planned characterization of frogeye leaf spot (FLS) isolates is a necessary first step and lays the foundation for the development of FLS-resistant germplasm that can be used to develop FLS-resistant varieties. Development of FLS-resistant germplasm/varieties may be the only effective alternative to managing this pathogen in the face of developing resistance to fungicides.
