Brief Project Summary:

Farm production and financial characteristics can differ extensively by farm type and by year. Moreover, factors contributing to these differences can also vary by farm type. The proposed research attempts to identify the key factors contributing to profitable and efficient crop farming operations.

The proposed research will use annual Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS) data for the latest 10-year period (2000-2009) by six crop-farm types. There is a dearth of information that jointly describes production and financial characteristics of Arkansas crop farms.
