The goal of this project is to assist producers and policy decision-makers in preparing for and developing positions regarding the next farm bill. This will be accomplished by:
~ Developing descriptive analyses on each of the 15 titles of the 2008 Food, Conservation and Energy Act. Identify, to the extent possible, the effects of these titles on all Arkansas producers. Special attention will focus on the commodity and conservation titles. and
~ Determining the impacts of alternative proposals that would modify the 2008 Act given the prospects of reduced funding for the 2012 legislation. Particular attention will be given to modifications to the price and income safety net of existing...
