Brief Project Summary:

To reduce the impact of Cercospora diseases on soybean production in Arkansas the research team will:
~ Determine the extent to which fungicide resistance is present in Arkansas and assess the potential impact on production.
~ Develop a rapid DNA-based assay to identify fungicide resistance.
~ Define the diversity of pathogen populations in Arkansas. and
~ Identify new sources of genetic resistance to frogeye leaf spot and leaf blight.
