Brief Project Summary:

The soybean cyst nematode (SCN), Heterodera glycines, is the most serious pathogen of soybean in the United Sates. In August 2003, SCN was discovered for the first time in North Dakota and now is found in several counties. Numerous fields are infested and soybean yields are reduced in infested fields. It is assumed that the nematode will continue to spread throughout soybean production areas in the state and will continue to have a major impact on soybean yields. The long-term goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive SCN management plan. Part of the plan is to identify soils where SCN would be a greater risk for soybean production. Site-specific management would allow growers...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
