Brief Project Summary:

The specific objectives of this project are to identify and characterize chromosomal regions for stress responses and use this information for combining genes during cultivar improvement. The research group will also develop novel molecular markers for marker-enhanced selection to improve responses to stress in South Carolina cultivars.
