Brief Project Summary:

The main objectives are to survey for the incidence of soybean stem borer, Dectes texanus (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), and the bean plataspid, Megacopta cribraria (Hemiptera: Plataspidae) in multiple counties in South Carolina; and to evaluate the use of sunflower as a trap crop for D. texanus in soybean in areas of high-risk for stem borer.
