Brief Project Summary:

Agricultural producers are spending more time on public highways driving their equipment between fields. The driving public is often unsure of the proper rules for passing or following farm equipment. This project researches current laws and guidelines and develops materials to educate drivers. It also aims to develop education materials for educating drivers about sharing the road with farm equipment, the meaning of roadway signs and equipment signs as they relate to farm equipment on the highway. Work plans to develop an interactive presentation about sharing the road with farm equipment that could be presented to driver's educational classes and other groups, as well.

Key Benefactors:
farmers, general public
