Brief Project Summary:

The goal of this research project is to develop elite soybean germplasm lines with low levels of trypsin inhibitor, an anti-nutritional component found in under-processed soybean meals. Schillinger Genetics has developed several soybean varieties with significantly less total trypsin inhibitor activity compared to regular soybean meals. The nutritional superiority of these lines is being tested in poultry, swine and aquaculture digestibility studies.
