Brief Project Summary:

Stink bugs and other insects have the potential of reducing soybean yields. This project will evaluate the integrated pest management strategies used by soybean growers on the Coastal Bend area of Texas and help determine best management strategies for soybean production in Texas. Fields will be monitored for insect pests and applied research projects will be conducted on pest insects found. Results of the studies and field screening will be conveyed to soybean growers through newsletters and grower meetings.
