Brief Project Summary:

The attainable yield for farmers has steadily increased. Ten years ago, 80 bushel/acre soybean yields were unheard of, but 80 and occasionally 90 bushel/acre yields are not uncommon today. The entire soybean community, however, was astounded with yield reports from Kip Cullers farm. Prior to the 2006 report from the Cullers farm, the documented record yield was 118 bushels/acre that was produced in research plots at Rutgers University in 1983. Scientists have attempted to determine the theoretical yield potential of soybean, and their estimates generally have been between 108 and 120 bushels/acre.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
