Average soybean yield increases in Michigan have not kept pace with yield increases for other major crops such as corn and wheat. The SMaRT (soybean management and research technology) program was initiated to continue and expand the research and educational activities conducted under the Soybean 2010 project with the goal of increasing Michigan soybean yields and profitability.
