The specific objectives of this research are to monitor changes in the soil microflora through the growing season and investigate their effect on SDS development; determine the effect of experimental seed treatments used to manage SDS on soil microbial populations; and determine the effect of planting dates on soil microbial populations and the resulting implications on SDS development.
