Brief Project Summary:

This project involves developing phenotype data and DNA that will be used in future studies to map frogeye leaf spot resistance genes that will ultimately be used to identify race-specific FLS-resistant soybean genotypes. Efforts intend to apply molecular markers to F2 DNA from previous F2 phenotype screening and confirm F2 population segregating for C. sojina resistance and collect tissue and isolate DNA from the confirming C. sojina population. The work advances FLS-resistant F2 lines in a breeding program.

Key Benefactors:
farmers, agronomists, extension agents, soybean breeders, seed company

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
