Brief Project Summary:

This project will enhance soybean grower profitability by helping growers make informed decisions regarding the response of soybean canopy development, nodulation, grain quality, and yield to starter fertilizer based on planting date. Additionally, an economic analysis will be conducted to help enhance soybean grower profitability.

Nitrogen is an essential plant nutrient and is a main component of proteins and amino acids. Providing starter nitrogen to soybeans may increase canopy development of early planted soybean when the soil is cool and nitrogen mineralization is slow. Phosphorus is also an essential plant nutrient and enhances root growth. Enhanced root growth may result in more...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
