This effort builds on current work to expand soil health testing infrastructure in Ohio and provide wide-scale extension programming for Ohio grain farmers. It offers free soil health testing to Ohio soybean farmers who enroll in eFields, an OSU Extension initiative of on-farm research. The project also continues to develop outreach and educational materials on soil health, namely 8-10 high quality videos exploring a variety of topics.

Project Summary

We propose to will build on current work to expand soil health testing infrastructure in Ohio and provide wide-scale extension programming for Ohio grain farmers. We will offer free soil health testing to Ohio soybean farmers who enroll in eFields, an OSU Extension initiative of on-farm research. We will also continue to develop outreach and educational materials on soil health, namely 8-10 high quality videos exploring a variety of topics. The specific objectives of this proposal are to: i) Provide free soil health testing to cooperating eFields farmers, ii) Create a series of succinct, high quality soil health indicator videos.

Benefit To Soybean Farmers

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years.
