This project supports Soybean Research Forum and Think Tank. The purpose of the event is to bring all aspects of the soybean industry together to collaborate and identify the biggest research challenges that need to be addressed in the next 10 to 20 years. Once these challenges are identified, a plan is developed to address them with the whole industry participating in funding and executing the research. This collaborative approach will provide non-redundant, cost-efficient research of value to the soybean industry.

Project Summary

The first Soybean Research Forum and Think Tank took place in August, 2021 with over 100 farmers, researchers, industry and soybean staff participating. For 2022, the plan is to hold the second forum the week of July 18, 2022. The purpose of the event is to bring all aspects of the soybean industry together to collaborate and identify the biggest research challenges that need to be addressed in the next 10-20 years. Once these challenges are identified, then a plan is developed to address them with the whole industry participating in funding and executing the research. This collaborative approach will provide non-redundant, cost efficient research of value to the soybean industry. Funding of this project will provide support for execution of the event itself and travel expenses for attendees representing the soybean industry in Ohio.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years.
