Brief Project Summary:
This project creates the knowledge necessary to understand yield response of corn and soybeans to potassium applications. Understanding yield response to applied K will help address current questions among Ohio farmers and consultants. This work helps identify fields where yield response is measured for more intensive K rate studies to better understand the reasons for response and help revise recommendations. This work is focused on requests from Ohio retailers and their farmer customers that have experienced reduced soil K values from high, harvested yields and thereby K removal rates along with yield response to K applications.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
