Brief Project Summary:

This investment is used for development, implementation and promotion of action-oriented initiatives. Staff and contract specialists provide technical assistance to individual farmers and to organizations and agencies at watershed, state, regional and national levels. These efforts foster innovation, support environmental programs, projects and initiatives, provide technical assistance for watershed organizations assessing resource concerns and writing watershed plans, developing projects, seeking funds for implementation, and evaluating outcomes. They also help farmers access and prioritize their resource concerns and planning, and provide laboratory and monitoring services quantifying water quality parameters, design installations and operation of water monitoring.
