Brief Project Summary:

In this project we will screen soy polyols and isocyanates; optimizing the conditions for synthesizing soy polyol-based urethane prepolymers with different isocyanates (aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, and aromatic isocyanates); study the physical properties of the urethane prepolymers based on different isocyanates so as to determine their potential applications; and develop one-component moisture-cure polyurethane adhesives (low viscosity) as well as one-component moisture-cure hot-melt polyurethane adhesives (solid at room temperature but melt at elevated temperatures) and two-component polyurethane adhesives. We will also test the adhesion property of different prepolymers on different substrates...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
