Biography
Dr. Bushley is a plant pathologist and mycologist at the USDA,ARS in Ithaca, NY with interests in fungi and bacteria that parasitize nematodes and insects. She has worked extensively on sequence and culture-based approaches to analyzing groups of fungi attacking nematodes, including the SCN, as well as fungal pathogens of insects, including beetles and moth larvae. She has received funding from NIFA for several projects related to nematode parasitic fungi of the SCN. She is interested in applying her expertise to help soybean growers in New York and globally address and manage this important agricultural pest.
