Brief Project Summary:

The Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, the Department of Agronomy and Soils, and the USDA Soil Dynamics Laboratory at Auburn University maintain two of the oldest, continuous cropping experiments in the United States. The Old Rotation (circa 1896) and the Cullars Rotation (circa 1911) are on the National Register of Historical Places. Maintaining these sites has become a challenge. The checkoff funds will be used to help maintain Alabama's long-term cropping system and soil fertility experiments and periodically summarize soil and soybean yield information to update nutrient recommendations.
