Brief Project Summary:

At least 20 counties in Alabama have either confirmed or suspected populations of glyphosate-resistant Palmer amaranth (pigweed). Managing glyphosate resistance will involve a systems approach to weed control, in order to limit yield loss and harvest problems from Palmer amaranth and other resistant weeds. In order to control resistant weeds and slow further resistance development to other herbicides and with other weeds, it is critical for producers to understand the mode of action for the herbicides that they are applying in order to properly alternate activity classes, and how best to use these different weed control methods.
