Brief Project Summary:

Weed control in buffer strips (CRP/CREP land) is difficult due to the government regulations on when you can mow or spray, the large variety of perennial weed species that may be present, and interactions of weed species, cover crops, herbicides, application timing, and other factors. This project will evaluate various weed management programs for the control of perennial weeds in buffer strips. The study will produce practical results that can be communicated to growers through Extension weed control educational program activities.
