Brief Project Summary:

This project proposes to examine the performance of Cercospora leaf blight pathogen inoculated and uninoculated soybeans after treatment with strobilurin fungicides, Headline and Quadris, in comparison to untreated plants. Plants will be inoculated with Cercospora kikuchii. The causal agent of Cercospora leaf blight and purple seed stain, known to produce a latent infection with little or no symptoms that are manifest generally only late in the season. Field trials will include irrigated and non-irrigated management treatments. Trials will be conducted at several research sites and in the greenhouse.
