The goal of this project is to develop a validated online irrigation scheduling tool for Mississippi soybean producers. Techniques involve developing water release data for typical Mississippi soils and calibrating soil moisture sensors to these values and testing and validating the Mississippi irrigation scheduler tool (MIST) for common Mississippi soybean production environments.
