Brief Project Summary:

The Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council has invested significantly over the last few decades in checkoff research. Research has focused on solving problems and challenges while addressing grower needs. In 2019, the council invested $2.5 million toward research and $2.4 million in 2020. The council funds projects that emphasize soybean research, demand, and education/outreach. Two significant contributions to the soybean industry originated in Missouri through council funded research projects: biodiesel and a unique high oleic soybean trait. Soyleic is a non-GMO, high oleic soybean trait and oil that’s a healthier choice for cooking oil.
