Brief Project Summary:

The objectives of this research will be to systematically sample soybean roots for the presence of Fusarium species in the fields (different soil types and tillage and no-till systems) and determine the role (parasitic and beneficial) that specific species may play through pathogenicity tests. They will characterize the population of Fusarium on soybean roots, rhizosphere soils and bulked soils using traditional (dilution plating) and molecular tools (Denaturing Gel Gradient Electrophoresis (DDGE) and DNA sequence analysis). They will also use multivariate statistical analysis to figure out which are the major soil physical, chemical and biological parameters to affect the occurrence of...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
