Brief Project Summary:

The project's strategic goals are to continue the soybean rust sentinel plot monitoring and early warning network established in 2005 in cooperation with USDA/ARS's ipmPIPE project. The specific activities include: developing and monitoring sentinel plots in Tier 1 states; monitoring of foliar diseases during the growing season; and participating in biweekly national conference calls on soybean rust which are being lead by Edward Sikora and Tom Allen. All observations made in the sentinel plots are being entered into the USDA soybean rust web site for public viewing. (This project is jointly funded by the United Soybean Board)
