Brief Project Summary:

In Oklahoma, soybean planting recommendations have been divided into two different concepts. The first concept is to plant a MG3, or early MG4, variety as early in April as possible. The second concept is to plant a MG4 or MG5 soybean in early June (1-15). With the wide selection of planting dates in Oklahoma, research is needed to understand the effect of planting dates on soybean varieties of differing maturity groups. The findings will allow for better recommendations for soybean planting dates and use of varieties with different maturity groups.
