Brief Project Summary:

Precision agricultural technologies related to crop production have had a slow adoption rate in Oklahoma. Many Oklahoma producers recognize the role of these technologies in the Midwest corn and soybean belt, but are concerned about their economic feasibility in Oklahoma. One technology that may have a great amount of potential in Oklahoma is variable rate seeding. With the inherent variability in soil type, which affects water holding capacity and depth of top soil in the majority of dryland fields, it is likely that one flat seedling rate is not ideal. Currently, only a few producers have the capacity of changing the seedling rate on the go, but as newer planters are purchased, producers...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
