Brief Project Summary:

Weed control in soybean fields remains critical to profitability. The SDSU Weed Extension program's priorities for the coming year includes: 1) Developing weed control recommendations for soybeans grown in dry areas of central South Dakota and in pothole region where poorly drained soils can cause spring planting delays; and 2) Recommendations using new soybean varieties with resistance to alternative herbicide chemistries and minimizing weed management costs.
