Brief Project Summary:

These farmer-led, on-farm, strip trial research programs are intended to jumpstart and empower South Dakota soybean growers with knowledge gained from research that has been conducted locally in the state. SDSU Extension bridges the gap and will provide unbiased research information and application while assisting soybean producers in designing and setting up their research trials. Some avenues that SDSU Extension can assist with include site selection, treatment randomization, statistical analysis, project summaries, sampling decisions, and treatment timings.

Key Benefactors:

A brochure titled "Soybean Investigations: Research on your farm" was produced and printed. This brochure was handed out to over 300 farmers in SD. The project was then combined with the new South Dakota Soybean On-farm Research Program. This project differs from the original on-farm research program but offers soybean farmers another tool to utilize.

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
