Brief Project Summary:

This project serves the purpose of conducting studies that examine the off-target movement of dicamba and 2, 4-D. The introduction of dicamba-tolerant and 2, 4-D tolerant soybeans and cotton will allow for multiple high rates of dicamba and 2, 4-D herbicides to be applied over much larger geographies. Moreover, the applications will be made at a time of year when higher temperatures and more non-target plant species will be present. Accurate data on how likely and far dicamba and 2, 4-D application can move can help provide recommendations to growers on how close to sensitive plants these PGR herbicides can safely be used in the future. This project attempts to quantify vapor drift...
