Brief Project Summary:

This project was planned to acquire critical knowledge about the SCN infection process and the associated modification in the DNA and DNA-associated proteins of soybean in susceptible and resistant interactions. Genes with crucial roles in mediating plant susceptibility/resistance are known to be tightly controlled and that epigenetic modification of the DNA or its associated proteins is one of the most powerful mechanisms controlling gene expression and function. However, epigenetic control of gene expression in soybean is completely unknown. Because these modifications can affect what soybean genes are expressed and hence resistance, this information is essential to develop novel and durable...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
