Brief Project Summary:

This project is designed to provide necessary guidance for progress in developing and maintenance of commercial available aphid resistant soybean varieties. Current aphid resistant soybean varieties rely on singe gene to confer resistance. However, soybean aphid populations have been identified that can successfully attack these resistant soybean varieties. This project will determine the diversity of soybean aphids in Wisconsin and how capable they are in defecting resistant soybean varieties in Wisconsin.
