Brief Project Summary:

Over the years, soybean crops in Alabama have been surveyed for foliar disease incidence, plant viruses and nematodes. The reniform nematode was distributed throughout the state and is the most common nematode parasite on soybean. Currently, the actual damage threshold of reniform on soybean is estimated based on yield losses in cotton. We do not know the effect of low, medium, high, and very high populations of the reniform nematode on soybean yields for Alabama. This potential yield effect is important as nematicides are often recommended depending on the yield reduction potential of the nematode and the population level present in a field.

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
