Brief Project Summary:

The goal of this continuing project is to develop soybean production management recommendations for improving soybean yields in Alabama. On-farm variety trials are rated for yield, iron chlorosis, green stem and lodging. The research aims to evaluate soybean cultivars suitable for Alabama growing conditions under producer practices and growing conditions, evaluate treatments to control iron chlorosis on high pH Black Belt soils, and assess late planting dates for soybeans using modern cultivars and production practices.
