Brief Project Summary:

The Arkansas Discovery Farm program will be utilized to document the impact of water management and irrigation on water quality and quantity as it relates to soybean production in Arkansas, and where appropriate to develop strategies that sustain water resources and maintain profitability. Specifically the researchers will compare the effect of different irrigation scheduling strategies on both water inflow (irrigation) and outflow (tail water runoff) in terms of both quality and quantity, and develop and deliver educational programs from on-farm data that will assist producers in achieving both production and environmental goals in support of sustainable farming in Arkansas.
