Brief Project Summary:

An increased understanding of weed species will aid in optimizing existing weed management strategies, provide new strategies to control particular weed species, and reduce the potential for the development of new weed problems. To increase the understanding of selected weed species, the researcher will: 1) Identify and investigate traits that contribute to the weediness of problem species; 2) Characterize the genetic variability of weed species and its impact; 3) Identify the mechanism of herbicide resistance and the evolution of herbicide resistance in weeds; and 4) Determine the environmental and management conditions that increase the prevalence of a particular weed species. Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
