Brief Project Summary:

The objective is to quantify the bacterial blight's impact on soybean yield and seed quality. This objective will be met by conducting a field trial with varying levels of bacterial blight severity. Different disease severity levels will be obtained through pathogen inoculations and through the application of agricultural formulations of copper hydroxide (bactericide; i.e. Kosice, Champ, others). Yield and seed quality will be measured to determine the detrimental effects of varying levels of disease on soybean.
