Brief Project Summary:

One of the challenges with developing effective management practices for SDS is the limited understanding of the factors that affect timing and severity of symptoms. Roots can get infected during the seedling stage, but foliar symptoms typically only develop after flowering in field conditions. The reason for this lag between root infections and foliar symptoms is not known. Information about the biological processes that trigger SDS symptoms is needed to identify possible resistance traits for breeding and devise novel management approaches. The goal of this project is to identify the critical states of soybean development that are most susceptible to root infection and foliar symptoms...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
