Brief Project Summary:

The research team has established a demographics bioassay of hairy roots using hatched SCN eggs. This demographics bioassay system will be useful to rapidly investigate whether RNAi constructs containing SCN genes have effects for suppressing SCN growth in the soybean roots. The researcher team performed SCN bioassays for stable transgenic plants using SCN HG type 7 infected soils. Bioassays indicated that there was a 35% reduction in SCN eggs on the transgenic lines compared to the controls.

In related experiments, they constructed artificial micro RNAs vectors with three potential target genes and vectors that express two of these targets at the same time. For our research on root...

Final Project Results

The United Soybean Research Retention policy will display final reports with the project once completed but working files will be purged after three years. And financial information after seven years. All pertinent information is in the final report or if you want more information, please contact the project lead at your state soybean organization or principal investigator listed on the project.
