Project Summary

This regional level applied research and education project entails a number of objectives.

Project Objectives

1. Complete an existing long-term high yield study at Lamberton, MN and initiating a series of new long-term high yield studies in farmer's fields at multiple locations that creates a framework to identify input components for high yield production systems.
2. Establish on-farm trials to detect and manage the presence of SCN biotypes that can overcome resistant varieties. This objective will include development of a common protocol for evaluating SCN resistance and assisting farmers and consultants in implementing the protocol.
3. Facilitate the establishment of field-scale trials examining the effect of row spacing on soybean aphid colonization.
