This project has a primary objective that will evaluate the impact, on soybean yields, of direct versus residual phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) applications; and, determine the optimum timing, placement and rate of P and K necessary to optimize yield and quality of soybeans that are grown in rotation with corn. In addition, the incline and decline rates of soil P and K tests as influenced by fertilizer rate and nutrient removal in the grain will be determined. Additional objectives will evaluate response of soybeans to broadcast applications of micronutrients and evaluate differences in mid-season tissue nutrient concentrations between soybean varieties. This project will also evaluate...
